Since my early days in East Germany, I’ve been drawn to light, atmosphere and human interaction and connection. Long before becoming a professional photographer, I found myself noticing the way light transformed a room, the way colors and shapes defined a space and how a certain energy or chemistry united people.  

Like many teens in the ‘90’s, I became obsessed with Peter Lindbergh’s fashion portraiture. That fascination first led me to be in front of the camera during a brief modeling stint, then behind it assisting commercial and editorial photographers in Germany and in the U.S. I eventually earned my MFA in photography from SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design), embarking upon a career I could never have imagined. 

My family initially moved to Los Angeles, where I launched and built my career, and 15 years later to Atlanta, which we now call home. I still make regular trips to Los Angeles to maintain my important and longstanding relationships there which include many A-list Hollywood actors, directors and musicians.  

Photography has given me so much over the years, but what I treasure most are the relationships, conversations, and the privilege of documenting moments that matter.
